Watch out for FLU!!!

Just wanted to give you folks a warning about the latest FLU bug going around, it sucks big time.

Christmas Eve my littliest complains of feeling sick at 9pm and by 10pm she is throwing up, this continues all night until we take her to Hospital at 8am Christmas morning. 2 IV's with nausa medication later (4 hours) she is well enough to leave. She could not even open her presents until Friday night (she did not even want to).

Just when we thought it was all said and done...... 10pm Friday my wife starts being sick, 10:20pm Friday I start being sick, 4am my middle daughter starts being sick. My middle and eldest daughters got so sick they had to go to hospital as well later on Saturday, while my wife and I had to take care of the house while being sick (literally being sick!)

Some Holiday!

Mike

I hope you and your family feel better soon, Mike. This bug is really going around as my cousins' families are going through it as well.

BTW, did you guys get the flu shot?

Thanks folks, we're all on the mend today thankfully...

My youngest had a flu shot but it didn't seem to help any, other than that nobody else had any shots except the ones I had in the UK

Well hopefully it doesn't take that long although the whole household is in a kind void right now with us all milling around and not doing too much cause we all feel pretty crappy.

The major flu shot given in the US was for a different strain than ended up being the major one this season. Glad everyone made it out ok!

Yes, and that's why I asked. I wanted to see if this was the dominant strain not covered by the flu shot.
