the cop can pull you over if you car "look" modified, its call the reasonable suspicion. such as if you have an exhaust, they can assume you have some kinds of engine mods. and the police have every right to pop your hood.

it sucks. i got pulled over once for loud exhaust and the police poped my hood, but he couldn't tell my DP is catless so he didn't write anything up other than my exhaust.

if your car is stock you don't really have to worry about it. i would just bust him out and tell him that is stock headlight and bring it up to the court. its still a hassle but hey still better than us with aftermarket parts.

some police really know their stuff, but some don't. as long as you keep your engine bay look stock, then it should be fine. the police will not go under your car and see if you have a cat.

So true man...The other day, passed by a popo in a GT Stang which had a really low stance and super rear wheels whiched look like Weld Racing wheels and a rounchy exhaust. He just looked at me and I looked at him while I was picking my nose doing the "fling my boogers at you" action..

lol that is very bad jason hahaha

all you need to do is hide it, they can't open your glove compartment. all they can do is a plain view doctrine, if they don't see anything on the plain view, they can't do anything.

Call the watch comander and complain. Also call the mayors office and complain. They get away making these laws because we let them. If we stood up and pooled everyone least the most of us togther we can change this B.S.

But as of right now. We keep letting them do it to us.

If enough people call the local senator or new paper and ***** this will get changed, Or we can all sit and take it till they get some fancy lawyer pulled over and mess with him. Then he changes it.

If your minding your own. Not breaking any laws... Car is clean and nothing is illegal on the outside..... They should not be able to pull you over and stop you on a maybe.

But until we all stand up... We will keep getting bent over...

And they know it.... They know we all cant stand up and fight as one group.

I am catless with a big azz melon shooter. However, I was stopped in traffic and so my ish was at idle. He seen me, he was to the left next to me, and I just knew he was going to roll me after he gave me this look. Then sure enough he bounced behind me and lit me up with the quickness.

He said the tinted windows is what did it and then went on to write my exhaust. I asked him if he wanted to write me up for anything else! LOL

I mean granted I was in the bad, i.e tint, but fawk....

lemme guess...

you are under... 24.

maybe even under 21.

cops can say whatever they want.

it's what you contest at court decides who's right.

maybe some people here needs to start re-reading their social studies books.

or at least know the 4th and 5th amendments...

I just passed by 2 Highway Patrol motorcycle cops about an hour ago through 280S near the Crystal Springs onramp and they didn't go after me. I'm lowered, gold wheels, somewhat melon shooter. Luckily I saw them early and slowed to 55 mph. They both looked at me but didn't give chase.
