They obviously don't want a democracy like ours...Its really to bad that this had to happen... its too bad that almost 600 soldiers have died in Iraq. Does Iraq want to be free? Why are we there? I absolutely hate those bastards as much as anyone else but we are doing to them the exact thing that we were afraid they were going to do to us. We are no safer then we were before the war. Saddam posed no threat to us whatsoever and the missing WMD only reiterates this point. Saddam is an extremely violent and evil dictator that did deserve to be taken out, but so do countless other leaders who have done far worse then Saddam in countries that just aren't news worthy. Why Saddam? We know why; A: He got away from Bush Sr. B: Oil...no big surprise but why else.....because the White House knew he posed no real threat! S. Korea poses a bigger threat as we do have proof, and their admission to Nuclear Weapons. Only Washington knows that if we were to go to war with them, we'd probably have several major cities in the U.S. nuked so they'll take a more diplomatic stance to neutralize the situation. Unfortunately, only half of those that started this war are getting their just deserve, as in the way of the capture of Saddam. Unfortunately, far too many innocent lives have been lost. This war was not necessary. There were no WMD's, Saddam only posed a threat to HIS people which he has since ...THE U.S. PUT HIM IN OFFICE. so why now, why not after the first 100 or even 1000 Iragis died, because now we stand to benefit from it by making another Israel, only this time with oil. It is hard to put yourself into the shoes (or barefeet) of the innocent people that die. Growing up in the shadow of an evil dictator, only reading material supporting his reign, only news you watch or listen to is constantly praising his doing, all while telling you the U.S. is satan. Hard to construct your own opinion. These people, although brainwashed to be killers and haters of us, are the victims. So how do we go about mediating this problem? We go in guns blazing just the the Old Westerns we're famous for. That'll show'em we are on their side! Now all we need to do is waite for back up. Isn't it a surprise that nearly every other country is opposed to the war? Even those that originally supported us are backing out. In the past this wasn't the case. Maybe we have been brainwashed, maybe we were just so happy to point the finger at everyone else for 9-11. I mean after all, it was just like WWII. We showed the Japanese now we'll show the terrorists. Unfortunately, this is nothing like WWII. Terrorists, unlike during WWII, are everywhere. Afterall, the U.S. harbored the terrorists that carried out the 9-11 attacks for several months. Should be declare war on Florida? These terrorists are everywhere. Ironically, one that wasn't a terrorist was...SADDAM!! The Bush administration attempted, before the war, to make a correlation between the two but later said there wasn't one. Yes, the bush administration came out and said Saddam had no ties to Al Qaeda! After all of this, I just hope other countries don't take on the U.S. style of doing things and attack any country that they think might possibly being planning attack against them! War has no winners or losers, only survivers.

the age old questions of whether or not to take action... seem to pop up often
a) the "peacenicks" support dictators by not stopping them...
anyone that says we shouldn't worry about people like saddam that kill hundreds of thousands of people... is a moron
people that support someone like stalin (or by being inactive means u indirectly support) who kills over 20 million of his own people... are morons
b) going in with guns blazing has its repercussions as well...
because when u kill anyone there may be an avenger.. even if u kill the avengers.. u get several more after ur ***
this thread is bound to go on for a while because of our varied views and how pissed off we all are.. right?
just remember these words:
should a man be guilty to allow something to happen by inaction, he is just as guilty as the one who commited the act
those who say "what u don't know won't hurt you" are dead wrong...
like the whole weapons of mass destruction "issue" people bring up about the war in iraq... some say they were never there...
but hell... we knew they were being made... now they could be anywhere in the world... i've heard people bring up "oh he wasn't that far in making nukes" well whether he was or wasn't we won't know or may never know... what we do know is saddam was pursuing them and had other weapons like bio and chem warfare...
this is a complex issue nonetheless, if we make some wrong decisions... may our children forgive us...
but as far as we know, and can see from what we know, it's the best decision we can make right now to help our fellow brothers that want a better life in iraq... right?
we know the risks... and are willing to take those for the greater good
(btw interesting plan on parking lot ... i wouldn't turn all of iraq into a parking lot... but there's a good bit of space for good tracks.. hell awesome rallies thru the desert!... and drift space for my car ... some 100 octane would be nice too... burns cleaner.. more power... and a smarter choice than this damn california water gas we got right now that they make hella profit on... just add water!)
