I already went through all the turbo speil over on nasuck with the other EJ18 turbo folks. Subachad especially recommended the WRX turbo because the low end capacity of the EJ18 is fine, and smaller turbos just end up applying too much pressure down low (his engine poped with an RBH5 after 20,000 miles).

And im probably the last person on the planet who cares about lag My car is fine in first and 2nd gear, its the 3rd, 4th and 5th gear top end that I need, along with the capacity to go up hills!!! And if I do these WRX heads, its going to lower my compression ratio. With the heads, I have no doubt I can run 10psi or more, but I probably wont even try to push that for awhile.

The reason im going to get a WRX turbo though is because I can just use left over stock WRX flanges to make uppipe/downpipes for it, a far cheaper solution to having custom made flanges for the turbo.

Ok, heres a small list of stuff I probably need now:

Stock WRX uppipe (gonna get that from muppet)
Stock WRX downpipe/midpipe (i'd like to keep stock cats to pass emisions, and im sure these are laying around as well)
Stock WRX fuel rails/injectors (do I need a wrx intake manifold to use these?)
Stock WRX fuel pump or another fuel pump capable of handling WRX injectors
Boost controler
Boost guage
WRX EJ20 headgaskets
WRX EJ20 timing belt + timing belt covers for the heads
Radiator + plumbing for air-water intercooler system

Things Im getting for sure:

S-AFC (on the way in the mail)
TD04 WRX turbo
Legacy Air-Water intercooler + dual stage pump
WRX EJ20 heads

What am I missing from this list?

Ok, I have the S-afc and turbo now.

Im looking at other intercooler options though... Suggestions?

Actually, if you keep boost low, you won't even really need it. Cost you some power, but it will buy you time to save for that while you get the other stuff up and running.
