Wagon build

So, a few months ago i had to smog my wagon. This meant it was time for the catless Dp to come off and the stock to go back on. After smog i debated selling the wagon (for a 1992 s4) and parting out all my goodies. After much reconsideration i decided on keeping the wagon because it has still relatively low miles (75xxx) and its still a really great car.

Today i bought the final supporting mod for the New turbo set up.
ill try to snap some photos during the turbo swap process and let you guys know how its going. Needless to say im stoked and cant wait for everything to arrive and get the project going

Does anyone know if a Sti splitter will fit under the 02-03 wrx scoop?
Also any suggestions where to buy a legit (not ebay) Version 7 sti scoop?

Parts pile is 98% complete expect teardown pictures soon!

Get a jdm scoop then the splitter. Try nasioc classifieds or google.

Any vendor can order you an STi hoodscoop or check nasioc's for sale. I've been seeing a lot of bugeye parts over there recently. But you'll need a splitter for that style hoodscoop. The USDM STi's splitters don't fit without some bending and potential for cutting. I've been running an STi scoop for my wagon for years without a splitter. It's frowned upon, but the splitter is very difficult to locate.

Alright,

So im reading that the USDM sti splitter will not fit under the stock 02-03 hoodscoop nor will it fit under the Ver 7 sti scoop (without modification) to the splitter?

is this correct?

Ive been checking the nasioc classifieds daily (as if it was my job) and its pretty rare to see a PSM sti scoop.

Forget the splitter. I had a JDM STi scoop with JDM STi splitter on my bugeye. Made a really annoying noise at freeway speeds. Took me months to figure out where it was coming from. Tested my side mirrors, thought perhaps I had a seal on my windshield coming apart, couldn't find it anywhere. Drove me batty. Finally removed the splitter. Sound gone.

For sure, the splitter will not fit under the stock scoop. I would definitely recommend getting an STi hoodscoop, just as far as looks go it's much better than stock. But an USDM STi splitter will not fit under an STi scoop for our cars (bugeye's). Since the USDM one is an '04 and newer, which has a different style scoop so the splitter was designed for that style of scoop. I agree with Huck, leave off the splitter and just get an STi scoop for it.

¿Question? What is this horn looking thing attached to my passenger side strut tower that is not hooked up to anything?

I am not exactly sure, but I think that one is for the car alarm. Great build, I can't wait to see the final results!
