But you can just run e85 like you can 100+ oct fuel.

e85 requires a tune and bigger injectors. I'd love to run it. But the guess work of finding it all the time vs. paying for a tune and what not offsets anything gained by using it.

my bad i thought everyone was going big!!!

j.k I am not going to run it either, I had all the stuff to do it but there aren't enough stations that have it...

but if someone had all the mods to run it, they could be at +500whp from "pump gas"

now if someone ran bigger injectors and a tune on 100oct. they would see gains over being stock and just filling up with 100.

(R+M)/2 octane is equal regardless of brand.

The Super Sunol Gas Station just on the east side of the Sunol Grade on 680 (3004 Andrade Rd Sunol, CA 94586 - I just looked it up) has all sorts of interesting fuels , all the way into 118 octane leaded fuels at the pump.

I thought the vp109 unleaded was a super quality fuel. Also I have a couple 5 gal drums of it that have sat in the shed, do you think they have a shelf life?

Wow, that's kind of a lot. Last time I was at the Almaden 76 it was in the $5-$6 range. Maybe that has skyrocketed too though.
