Vishnu EVO Tune-off this Sunday

OK, not an Evo board of course, but this sounds like it's gonna be fun:

http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthr...postid=382381#

As far as I can tell, WORKS is the "other" big EVO tuning house in the Bay Area; they've already got an ECU reflash product out whereas Shiv's Stage Zero is running on the XEDE. One of my friends dropped off his new EVO to be a Works test car (dunno if that's good or bad, personally).

I'm sure there'll be plenty of excitement even if it's not a Subaru event! Maybe one of the guys around here with a modded WRX can show up and put both EVO products to shame >

Don't know if you read from about page 9 on the thread it would seem that the closer to crunch time the less this will happen, I was up for taking a ring side seat on this one.

Those guys at Works are pretty squared away. I would rather have an ECU reflash, that a crummy Xede. I wouldn't let that damn Shiv touch my car with a 20 foot pole anyway.

According to my friend, WORKS was afraid that Vishnu was using this event as a way to learn trade-secret a/f ratios from the Brain map. IMO this isn't too likely, since they could do that very quietly just by having someone buy the reflash; then they could get all the dyno time/logging info they need.

I know a lot of people here do or don't like Shiv for whatever reason, but from where I'm standing, at least he's up for the challenge!

It'd be a shame if this event didn't happen.

Well, you know, you just have to double the delta!

I used to think Shiv was "OK", not cool or anything, but "OK". After he ****ed up Freddies tunning, and then pricked out over it, that guy will never get another recommendation from me. I will do nothing but bad-mouth him.

He de-tuned my buddies car too, because he wasn't 100% Shivnu parts.

Tuning is not all that difficult. It just takes time and money (For dyno time).
