Vehicle License Fee (VLF) Increase Effective May 19, 2009

Straight from the DMV site...part of the "debt reduction" measures being taken because of mismanagement of our state government.

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/faq/faq_vlf.htm

Enjoy...

lets hope they start doing appraisels at smog/ref checks.. So we can get the value of all our mods to raise the value of the car. Getting more reg tax. Lets also get a performance tax. Then give everyone a raise in the state.

So how "temporary" is this? Is the state really going to lower it when they have enough money?

Not very:
Q How long does the increase last?
A The increase will be through June 30, 2011, but may be extended to
June 30, 2013.

I love how the website says it's a 0.5 percent increase (0.65 to 1.15). While technically true, the new rate is 77% higher than 0.65. That's a helluva one-time increase. Geeeez.

so how much will it cost? There is no way I will pay 500 for registration. I'll send in an IOU or pay it 3 months late like my tax return came in. **** YOU CA ARNOLD YOUR A ***GOT AUSTRIAN PIECE OF ****.......

**** this man,

We have the worst roads. this **** makes me want to go destroy public property..........

Well we will probably eventually get our money back like when Dick Davis did the samething.

CA needs to stop stealing the peoples tax money. This **** has gone to far.

Yeah I realize the percentage increase, Just have no clue how much i paid last time.
