Vallejo RallyX - Looking for a photojournalist for an article...
Hey guys, so doing a little cross promotion along with some talent searching.
I'm running this RallyX event in one month:
https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...56#post2244956
So sign up and come race!!!
But like the subject line says, I'm also looking for someone interested in writing an article on the event and taking photos.
Its all part of helping to grow grassroots RallyX and trying to increase the feeder pool into Stage Rally. I'd like to submit the article and photos to the usual suspects for coverage (GSM, subiesport, etc) and also local newpapers, etc.
Anyone with experience in this arena (as I have very little) is greatly welcome. Cannot pay, the reward is having your article and pictures printed if it gets picked up.
Feel free to PM me if interested or pass this thread along to people you think might be.
Thanks in advance!
Jon Burke

im the one that got my results posted WRG since i ran with the 2wd so i could take pics/vids of the 4wd haha. i sacrificed myself for the sport of rallyX!
I think we should all take pics, and submit them when all's said and done. plus some people will be working while others will take pics, so we'll need at least two photogs.
I'll write stuff. I like writing as you can tell...though matt^ is slightly ahead of me on posts haha
Any google satellite of what site we'll be using? And elevation or any cool features?
I guess i should start posting in dirtyimpreza.com again I havent gotten dirty in awhile

no elevation changes like Prairie City, its a parking lot.....however we will have 3 different surfaces, including Tarmac w/loose gravel on it. Nothing like driving on marbles!
regarding the article and photos, I do have some requirements, so its not going to be just a 'story about the day' or random photos. Please keep the PM's coming!
here's the location, I hope this works....
Vallejo Parking Lot
^Click on that...its the little trapezoid area to the right. the paved section just above that trapezoid is the tarmac section we're using. for reference, this is about 33% bigger than the Antioch fairgrounds from last year.

I have cannon L 100-400mm lens. (I still haven't upgraded my EOS3 body, haha) Will you bring it to the event?
