V-day Need some ideas

Hey guys Valentine's Day is coming up and being relatively new to the bay area, I need some ideas to where I can take my girl. Nothing too expensive, just some places for dinners and some fine dinning.

Thank you.

Please define "nothing too expensive". Otherwise you will get a lot of responses that won't work for you - Ruths Chris Steakhouse being one of them if you don't want to spend more than $150 for dinner.

I was gonna say take her to Cattlemens on V-day for dollar ribs! (but Vday is on tuesday)...pretty decent steak joint and stuff. But it also depends on what kind of food you two want to have for dinner. Which area are you lookin...SF, SJ ect.

Depending on where you are in the Bay Area, one of my favorite restaurants on the Peninsula is the Iron Gate in Belmont/San Carlos. The Mountain House off of HWY35 (near HWY92) has interesting food and a great view (when the fog isn't rolling through).

the words "not too expensive" and "Aqua" don't really go together. It's a very good restaurant though.

Never been to Ruth Chris, but Vic Stewarts in Walnut Creek is very good. You can do drinks, salad and dinner for ~ 200

I'm not sure if you guys have Sullivan's Steak Houses out there but they serve excellent food in a higher than casual atmosphere (where at least a sport jacket). They serve some of the best steaks I've ever had (far better than Ruth's Chris) and you'll like the atmosphere. Look'em up.

Try that link out. They've also got user reviews, pricing, and a bunch of other criteria to help you on your search.
