On another note, front kick KO's aren't unheard of (although nowhere near as common as roundhouse or knee KO's). Five years ago in K-1 World Max...

Best card in a while. I'm thinking pretty similar to cliff on this one. Vitor has on hope... get close and bully Silva with punches. Has to keep it off the ground and stay away from Silva kicks. Forest's days as the ufc poster boy are done. Rich is gonna knee him to death. Bader has mad one punch power and killer wrestling but Jones is long and very athletic. Dude is vicious. Nader can win if he gets on top It gets inside. I think Pierce wins. Stacked card.
I didn't get back fr Tahoe in time to watch a live stream online, but I hung out up there long enough to watch the pre-lims on Spike.
Looking back @ my picks, I woulda looked like a genius had I went strictly w/ "Column A." 10 of 11 listed first won his bout. Johnson is the lone exception.
I was really disappointed w/ Omigawa's showing. And Kingsbury surprised me as much as he did Romero in their bout! Paul Taylor deserves a HUGE 'Thank you from the bottom of my heart.' for that highlight-reel KO. I was kinda shocked that Rich's hands & footwork weren't enough to overcome Forrest's kicks, but he used his tools well to take the fight where he'd be most successful. I still have to watch a few of the other broadcast fights to see exactly how everything played out.

lol Machida takes a page straight from The Karate Kid movie and KO's Couture with the white crane kick
And in the post fight interview, Machida thanks Steven Seagal (among others) for helping him with that kick
Couture said he will not fight again after this loss.
