41 hours is a goddamn joke - I'M STUCK IN A MOTHER ****ING ELEVATOR *****ES GET ME THE **** OUT!
They were at least 20 hour of that where there is no one working or emergency crews on the scene - **** that; I'm ripping through the top of it and no, I'm not paying for the damages - in fact; I'm going to turn right around sue the **** out of the building owner and operator of the elevator system.

I read the article in the link and it said when he pried the doors apart, he saw the number 13 written on the cinderblock wall, so he was probably on/near the 13th floor with no exit from the shaft anywhere between the ground and the 39th floor. It freaked me out just reading that.

Loading up an empty elevator car with discarded Christmas trees, pressing the button for the top floor, then throwing in a match, so that by the time the car reaches the top it is ablaze with heat so intense that the alloy (called “babbitt”) connecting the cables to the car melts, and the car, a fireball now, plunges into the pit: this practice, apparently popular in New York City housing projects, is inadvisable.

My lady and I once got stuck in a elevator at harveys in lake tahoe for like 10 min.. and We were both kinda freakin out cause it was hella small and it was just the two of us.
Luckily we had a bottle of greygoose with us and we started swigging that to calm us down
For like a year after that I had a fear of taking elevators... I think I might of hung myself with my shoelaces if I was that guy...
