The cop said something about traffic school and all you guys did too, do I have to go to court to request traffic school? or can I request it when I get the fine in the mail?
Read your courtesy notice very carefully and follow the directions to request traffic school. You can probably do it over the phone or maybe online. If you don't get a courtesy notice after 2 weeks call the court. If you are "economically disadvantaged" you can appear before the judge and request a lower fine. Most people don't know that if you give the judge a good sob story you can get the fine lowered. If you request a payment plan it'll cost you more. BTW if you ever contest a ticket and lose, you also lose your option for traffic school.
