i think its all new. i got a 600$ speeding ticket earlier in the year around january. and then just now i got a 989$ ticket for not having license plate light which had JUST burned out. its is seriously ridiculous.

$989 for a burnt out license plate bulb? Is that a typo?
I have a friend who recently received a fix-it ticket from the SFPD for no front plate. The fine was $100 but he "corrected" it, had a cop sign off, and paid a $10 administrative fee.
I have no idea how he got away with that one. There are no screw holes in his bumper. And no competent cop would sign off on a plate held on by zip-ties.

Nope, not a type-o. The guy pulled me over along with two other cops. had me sitting there for about 20 minutes. He asked if i was on probation. i gave him the weirdest look. i was so furious. he even threatened about giving me more tickets for my exhaust, tint, etc etc. I challenged it in court though. they let me off with 50$ fix-it fine. the officer was a bias gooney.
seriously, if it weren't for friends & family, I'd leave this friggin state
