well, unfortunately I will not be able to make it to the track day. I wish I could, but I will be in Maui at that time!
oh well, I guess I will just have to wait till next time LOL....so its a good trade off.
Anywayz, I hope everyone that goes has a blast! and everyone has a great and safe race day! I wanna see some pics or even better, vids when I get back! I think I am gonna see if there are any i-club meets on the island, and check 'em out if there are.
have fun, be safe, and take lotsa pics/vids.

Car Info: Soon to be a 2011 WRX?
Quasi-newb here... What exactly is chalk talk? Im assuming it has to do with instruction, but in what form? Is someone actually watching your driving and giving you pointers etc etc?
Another question, are there any restrictions placed upon green group as opposed to yellow and red? Such as Yellow and Red can pass in a corner if safe, whereas green is never allowed to pass in a corner? Any thing like that, or any other rules/restrictions?
Thanks in advance for any info.

yeah.. chalk talk is this time where you can ask questions about the session and instructors talk to you about general pointers.. there are instructors there to ride with u to give u personal pointers too...
um... as for restrictions, i think green is the most restricted in passing.. may just be allowed to pass in straights, and with a point-by, etc

Exactly what babysmurf said about chalk talk. Especially in the morning, after you run, the instructors all meet up and discuss what they saw on the track whether good or bad. Their intention is to point out the mistakes people are making to help them correct it. As the day goes on, you don't really meet any more.
As far as restriction, only pass on a point by. If you don't get a point by, you can't pass. Although I did once when the instructor told me too. Not being able to pass in corners sucks because I could have totally passed this car but the instructor said not too.
Yellow can pass in corners, but it's still limited I believe. They said they would still like to see point by's.

wow 15 subies (12 wrx, 1 sti, 2 rs) ... so are we caravan'ing or what?
We can do a south bay swing (280S --> 680N --> 580E --> 205E --> 5N) or some variant to pick up more people.
i'm debating whether or not to switch to red group ... its about time I move up.
