i can get BFG g-force sports for $85 a piece =D.. anyways you have any pics of the nail on the tire? I wanna see how close to the shoulder it is. Some places just tell u its too close to the shoulder to repair just so they can sell u some tires.

$85 for BFG g-force. . . . really. . . what size?

I don't have any pics, but I took it to 2 places one shop was a local Wheelworks, and the other was the reputable Auto Innovations.

i have hankook rs-2 and one of my tires blew out at about 25% into the tread life. i replaced a front, kept it there while regularly rotating the other side of the car, and they are evened out now. it works so i would just do that.

^ love the hankooks. really good wet grip with unreal dry grip for how much they cost. not the stiffest sidewall but a light tire with good autoX or even track capability. i would say your best bang for the buck summer tire right now. people seem to be liking these g-force sports too though.

ive also tried (in order) re92, es100, re070, re040, t1-s, fk451, kumho mx (i really like the mx a lot too)

I would buy a replacement tire and have it shaved down, but my tires are discontinued, and can't find them anywhere! Man, I called everywhere!

Just did some freelance work, I guess that money is all goin towards new tires . . . 245/40/17's

I thought I saw that thread, and thought those were 18's (235/40/18) instead of 17's!

You might give SPDUSA a call and talk with Mike Shields. I know he had the tires listed on his web-site for awhile. It's possible he has one or two left...still have to get it shaved down of course...
