torque strut bolts ......

i've done some searches.. and it's 14.5lb for wrx.... does this spec count for every other car?

If you're asking if torque specifications for a WRX apply to other cars as well, the answer is no.

A good rule of thumb is that bigger bolts need more torque. If it is about the size of a WRX bolt, it should be about the same spec.

But this is just a rule of thumb.

what the...... rule of thumb? i torque my sister accord "stock strut" nut and it twist/pop off...

i had the torque wrench set the same setting when i untorqued the bolt and that was 40lb. So i torque 40lb back and it pop off

anyone know? someone must have a accord in here

You can't measure how much fasteners are tightened by using a torque wrench to loosen them - they aren't made to work that way. You might try not to use a torque wrench as a breaker bar to loosen fasteners. Use a wrench, ratchet or flex handle and socket for that job.

i would but it was the only wrench i had for slack (i need to buy a new wrench :/)..... the 3 bolts was torque 80lb+ plus i spray WD40 too....... the 2 strut bolt was about 40lb ish.......

There are 5 bolt on the strut......
