Damnit, Thomas! J/K

You got any other pertinent info, brah? There is actually a lot to consider. The fact that you're thinking of mostly riding Fridays is good to know. Plus, having the place in Truckee.

Like burnyou2 & I noted, ONE Sat @N*, and you're at the same cost. Any add'l Sat's there & your choice proves to be a bad one. But you still have Heavenly to fall back on.

If you end up w/ the SquAwlpine pass and go on a Sat, leave your cabin or Sac in plenty of time to be heading south on Hwy-89 BEFORE 7:45! On a powder day, shoot for 7:15-ish. Otherwise, it is quite a parade of cars to get to those 2 resorts, particularly Squaw.

Another thing to ask yourself: How many times realistically do you see yourself & your crew hitting up Heavenly? Also, among the 4 resorts, do you have a fave that you love riding every season?

Fridays will be nice with less ppl too. So the Sat $50 pass would only be like a one time thing if i chose to do it.

Another note, we have a cabin in Truckee thats only a 20min drive from N*.. its prolly 35 or 40 mins from Squaw.
We have a cabin in Truckee as well and Squaw is a lot closer than flatstar. Regardless, Squaw/Alpine are MUCH better mountains than flatstar so none of this really matters if you really want to ride. If you're into sitting around in the park clogging up the lines and hangin' with the bros then maybe flatstar is better for you

Few good points here. Regardless of where though, if you want nice powder get there (wherever "there" may be) by 7. Get first run. Call last chair.

Also, what mountain do you prefer? I ride SqV/A.M. because regardless of if people go with I love it. I'll get to the top of squaw, hike that last peak to be above all others and I'm at piece. Thats why I choose SqV.

So ultimately what mountain does it for you?

Last year was super ill because heavenly, northstar, AND sierra were all in one pass. So off 80 and 50 you could go shred either side of the sierras.

I'm about to pick up the Heavenly/Northstar one this year I think. My buddy has a pad super close the NS.

The Squallywood pass would be sick though but Iono... Never really rode Alpine Meadows that much.

I honestly like N* quite a bit. Never had too much of a problem there, although there are some flat spots.

That and Homewood, its more of a local resort and you can only see like 1% of the runs from the road, so not a lot of ppl go haha.

Good point guys that i could ride at least 1 Sat and be at the same cost of the other pass!

I gots a "family" cabin at Meeks Bay. I like to go snow camping up in the back hills. Never been too good at snowboarding. I was always a better skier than a boarder.

If i didn't have a ski lease and pass to kirkwood already set up, I would definitely consider the Squaw/Alpine pass. Depending on how this year goes, I may get both a Kirkwood & Squaw/Alpine pass for next year!

So I have been to both Heavenly and N* but never Squaw or Alpine. I know people will say I am missing out, but are they way better or just a little? I mostly go for powder and stay away from the parks.

WTF!?! How could you be a powder hunter and not have ridden Alpine or Squaw? Next thing you'll tell us is that you're a baseball, football, hockey, etc. fan but don't ever really get into watching the playoffs.

Oh, and "You're missing out!"

If you like fresh powder and have never ridden Squallywood you are DEFINITELY missing out man.
