Given mph and an extra shift for the STI this makes sense. That is why Evo's rule - if only they came factory w/ a 2.3L Folks seem to keep forgetting about factoring in the 5th gear shift in an STI.
Now what I'd really like to see is WRX 5 speed gearing mated to something revving to 9k - 3rd gear will go out to like 120 hehehe....

So unless you raise your rev limited, you gotta shift to 5th as well now (4 to 5 is kinda tricky too)
and 5th gear sucks
So lots of IXs are hitting like mid to high 11s @116ish with a raised rev limiter

That 110mph trap was infineon raceway
Lurk on this board has trapped at 116 before at infineon as well on pump gas, his car is a factory freak though
