nice! Reminds me, the other week I saw an old couple mobbing down El Camino in Mountain View on Segways. The wife had a black helmet too.
Fun Fact: The guy that invented the Segway also invented the Insulin Pump, I guess not every invention can be great.

What a bull**** list filled with junk science, examples...
Hydrogen blimps: The Hindenburg did not burn up because of the gas, in fact the ratio of o2 to gas was not high enough to cause combustion. Rather it went up fast because of the nitrocellulose skin that gave it the "silver" look. When she bumped the tower, a static charge grounded, and up she went. To date Hydrogen is one of the safest gases to use in LTA travel.
DDT: The "demon" of the 60's, current science is starting to look back at DDT because of bad science, jumps to conclusion, and the fact the current crop of sprays are 100x worse. The US is one of the few large countries that ban its use.
I could keep going, but just seeing the above two, made me dismiss the whole list, but then again its time magazine, not exactly a top notch journalism winner.

Actually its core design has nothing to do with music at all. It was a program used by the US navy and oceanographers to study sizmeic activity and sonar bounces.

Betamax - most still agree this was a superior format vs. VHS, the only way VHS overtook them was they were the format of choice for 80s ****, simple as that! Does that make Beta a horrible invention??
Ford Pinto- now I know this is going to be a hard sell to many, and by todays standards it def is a miserable car. But this was 70s and, the oil crisis just started and american car companies knew NOTHING about making compact cars to compete with the new onslaught of small foreign cars. So Fords first true compact was actually quite ground breaking at the time and down right revolutionary compared to the cars they had been making since the model A. Yes they did have a bad (BAD!) defect that was fixed but did lead to some deaths, and the way that Ford handled it was completely revolting, but more people have died in a Prius with a stuck gas pedal so...
And finally the..
PetSpa - I mean come on, if you think this is a horrible invention theres something wrong with YOU!!!

c'mon!!!
