Ticket for truck nutz!

I am not sure if I should be happy or sad about this...

Woman gets jury trial for displaying plastic ********* on truck - Live5News.com | Charleston, SC | News, Weather, Sports

Virginia Tice of Bonneau was given a $445 ticket July 5 that accuses her of violating the state's obscene bumper sticker law.

Police Chief Franco Fuda asked for a jury trial, saying questions of obscenity should be determined by community standards.

Tice's attorney, Scott Bischoff, expects a trial next month. A relative said Tice didn't want to talk about the case before the trial.

She was ticketed after pulling into a gas station in her truck with big red fake ********* hanging from the trailer hitch.

Sad that public servant time has to be dedicated to this type of crap. Common sense should deal with these types of retarded shizz.

Read the law and fight it. If it's truely an "obscene sticker law" then you could easily argue while on the grounds it may be obscene it's certainly not a sticker and can be easily removed. It's really pathetic how low CA has gotten just to pay their bills. The only way I'll come back to this state to live is if I have out of state plates and my residency is in another state.

Yeah its pathetic that some dbag cops would go this low rather than actually doing REAL police work. Laws are laws but there's serious laws to protect and petty BS like this.

They have an obscene bumper sticker law.... FOR REAL???

I thought our state law makers were underworked and over paid. I think it should be illegal to have full time law makers. These guys get paid $100k a year to write B.S. laws that just take more and more of people's personal rights away. Then they can't get the important **** done so we have budget issues while they get paid vacations.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR> Politics **** me off.

I didn't know plastic nuts were stickers. Cops are smart.

That's one hell of an expensive ticket though! I don't think the time ($) justifies the crime.
