regardless of your beef with them, it's very uncool of you to discuss matters regarding tax-free sales about a business you named in a public forum.
especially these days when the State of California Board of Equalization is cracking down hard on Sales/Use tax.

hey, what if you went into a shop, and they told you the final price out the door is 230, tax free. But in fact they already added tax to that you would never know now would ya?
Back to steve, i think u should just print the pm message, and show the boss or whatever if you want the price they agreed upon. That's the only thing i can come to think of that can be helpful. No need to display the pm's publicly, since it originally started out as a pm.

He is trying to make a point, so posting the PM makes sense...

go back with the paper =D and tell him to stfu since it's one of his employees that gave that price. So if the "incompetent" employee cannot read correctly and due to his lack of understanding he gave u the wrong price, well he should still honor it because you said u want this this and this yet he only quoted u for 1 of the two items.
i do understand

by all means, if i ever ****ed up on window orders and such, i'd be fixing it with money outta my own pocket/my own labor at the shop to make up for my mistake where as the customer would get the price from the quote i gave out.

There is a way to say it.
If I misquote someone on a set of wheels and Joseph catches me on it, it is my responsibility to tell the customer is the most polite way possible that I misquoted them.
There is a way to talk to customers and a way not to talk to customers, these guys obviously do not know how to talk to customers.
