zumnwrx....nah man not pissed at you. I was talking about the people from other boards coming on and talking a mess of crap. If you don't have a clue first hand about what happened then yeah I'd wonder what you were talking about....but I didn't really read your stuff. sorry. 8 pages got a little crazy for me so I skimmed.

And hell yeah I'd defend Mike...whatever..you know. But I wouldn't go onto another board and say my car is faster than you...lets race for pink...

I mean hopefully in that post you could see that I was frustrated not only cause of this thread but other similar type of stuff and I was poking fun as well. I wasn't meaning to attack as much as I was meaning to lighten the mood and get the thread pasted the stupid arguing and get the facts out and the resolution done.

so no man...no beef with you. And no I don't hate RnD. Just have other people I'll go to first because of the way I've been treated by them and the way they have represented themselves...like when Mike towed that dudes car for him from the track...stuff like that.

Don't get me wrong..I think we should defend our friends and good vendors when people are trashing them.

So yeah....that's all... and just for you....I keep poking fun. haaa. take it easy broham.

i don't consider what he did to be cheap. They wanted $800 shipped paid through paypal. Like zoeb said before, once you get done with paypal fees and shipping of a full turboback you right around $680. They even told him to come pick it up early and it will only be $650. And even if this was a big misunderstanding why would auto rnd sell a catback for $650 when they "supposedly" had it for sale for $500. I think that seems pretty shady that they would try to make a bigger profit. I've talked to rishi (sp?) at a dsm meet they hosted awhile back and he was a really nice guy and they are a big importer in the bay area so i was shocked when steven told me about this.

$800 - 40 shipping - (0.0275*800=22) != $680

I called it in the beginning. Someone misunderstood an insane deal...and got their panties in a wad.

Can one of our million mods close this stupid thread please.

Seems like zoeb thinks it's about that price after paypal fees/shipping.

I clearly stated to him the whole time he was here that it was MY BAD I take full responsibility for my actions and in no way should it fall on auto RnD as a company if anything let it fall on me as a person that made a honest mistake at work I think we all have made a few.

On another note I was in the office the whole time we were trying to work something out, and Rishi was in no way rude to steve. Once again I apoligize for all the mess this has created and hope that this thread can just die already. If anyone wants to question are rep. come to the shop and see for your self that we are trying to establish a soild import facility for NorCal.
Yea i didnt really want to post and get into all this but for some of you guys to keep flaming steven is just stupid. I never said you guys were rude to him when he went in to your shop. In fact i said it was strange that all this happened because ive talked to Rishi before and he is a nice guy. All i said was it seemed strange that you would think he is offering $150 more for a catback you guys were planning to sell for $500.

No, You have it wrong, I never said there was a formula for how he got to $680, I am just saying it is reasonable and possible, and if you look about 20 posts up you will see a prime example of it being done...

$800 Shipped paid via paypal was their asking price.

Shipping is not cheap on exhaust, there a few pieces and shipping does add up.

He went with cash in hand so considering the amount they save on paypal fees and shipping $680 doesn't seem so bad now does it?

Funny, because you're telling me there's not particular formula on prices, yet based on your reasoning and logic here, it does seem like there is one. The formula is initial price - paypal transaction fees - shipping and handling fees, and from your reasoning it is to my understanding that you do in fact agree that the price is about right. Give or take some of course.

course, we have different perspectives. i'm just trying to understand yours.

lets take a $650 set of wheels that were sold for $500 for example.

$650 - $65 (shipping) - $19.14(paypal fees) = $565.86

$565.86 - $500(price of sold wheels) = $65.86 < - - no formula for that....thats $65.86 in negotiation....there is no formula involved in negotiation....

$565.86 is the price the wheels should have sold for considering paypal/shipping factors, but they sold for $500

Point is that people do negotiate, whether the shop decides to take the offer or not is at their discretion(sp) and in this particular case, the shop did accept the offer that steve gave em...
