For those of you who train at World Team USA on Ocean St...
I have a few quick questions for you. But before I start, I just wanted to say that I started this thread in order to not hijack Lurk's thread on Muay Thai. Hope everyone understands
Anyway, it's somewhat inconvenient for me to get to my usual gym, and I know that World Team USA is like 5 minutes away from my house (by car). I'm very interested in them, but unfortunately their website didn't answer some of the questions I had. And neither did a personal visit (I guess I went at the wrong time). So, here are my questions:
1. What are the rates at your gym? As hard as I tried to find out, I couldn't Are rates adjusted depending on your training schedule or economic condition?
2. What's the history of the gym? How long has it been around? What Thai school does it have its origins in?
3. What's Kru Sam Phimsoutham's pedigree? Specifically, who was his Kru Yai and what camp did Kru Phimsoutham train at? Did Kru Phimsoutham ever fight professionally in Thailand? What are his titles?
4. Is there a ranking as is popular in English schools, or is it a more traditional Thai ranking system of fights won/lost (and of course a good relationship with your instructor)?
Now, I don't mean to challenge the gym or anybody that trains there, I'm just very curious about these things since it's usually common information in the martial arts world. Anyway, thank you all very very much for your time and consideration. Hopefully this will shed some light on the subject

From that one event, it didn't seem a bad place to train.

Impreza01, thank you for the info. Not to deride your contribution, but I kinda wanted info "from the horse's mouth", that is, someone who trains there. Because there's a real lack of information on their website. And on the whole "wai" greeting, it's fine, I do it to Bunkerd anyway because I respect him and his culture
