For those who has a tacoma

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3827125

toyota is buying back tacomas 95-00 year at KBB + 150% because of rust issues. Apparently, you have to bring the truck in for an inspection and they cut you a check if they think you meet the criteria.

I am going to call toyota up and see wasup tonite.

Will keep you guys inform.

I have a 00 Pre-Runner and I have beat on it so hard too!!! Mudding, playing in the snow, all in CA/NV. Needless to say I will be taking in my truck to see as to whether or not I have any rusting issues taht need to be fixxed or possibly getting my truck bought back from Toyota instead. JUst looked it up on KBB if wagonrex is right I will be seeing somewhere from 8,500 to 10,000 from Toyota if my truck meets there criteria. If not I still have a decent Pre-Runner that runs like a champ at 140,000 miles 4 banger ftw!

Idk stuff rusts like mad up here where I live. It's always wet and the coastal air has salt in it. A lot of Toyota owners around here run their rigs on the beach since we have a ton of places where it is legal to off road on the beach. So I see a TON of rusty yotas in all stages of decay. Going to show this to a few of my friends who own Tacoma's.

Yeah.. checked with walnut creek toyota, they haven't heard of so recall. Maybe that is because we are in Cali and rusting is near impossible. the Pictures that i have seen of people who got the bought back is terrible.
