For those looking for floor jacks

Sears is having a big sale on them. I think they're 50% off.
Here you go:

Much better than harbor freights crap. The 2 ton jack is even cheaper.

All those new-style Sears Jacks are garbage.

This is the only Sears jack worth buying, other than their super heavy-duty shop lifts:

$199 Aluminum 2-ton racing jack

http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...cal=TOOL&cs=e5

FYI: For only $124 (cheaper for me 'cause I returned my old banged-up costco jack) Costco has an all-aluminum Alltrade 2-ton Aluminum Racing jack, and it works great.

Best thing about Costco is that you can return it indefinately...

BTW both of the above jacks are better than the Harbor Freight stuff.

Lightbulb My cheapy jack broke

FYI, I have one of the cheap jacks like Sears or Kragen or PepBoys sell, and last week it BROKE! I was raising the jack up and the unit was not holding the hydraulic fluid well and it just slides down as soon as you pump it up. These things work great until they break, at which point they really BREAK and can't be repaired. There goes twenty bucks, but then again it lasted over four years so keep that in mind.

The costco one is pretty nice, fairly low profile too.

SnoHumper- You go to WyoTech right? Which Rex is yours?

you can jack it up from the front end of the side skirts (area)...it will lift the front end, one side at a time, to put a jack stands under.
