To those that have Comcast cable...

Has your channel line up changed? Seems as though I no longer have the food network (used to be channel 35 with basic extended cable). Instead of the food network its now TBS, wtf? I loooooved the food network and now it seems as though its gone.

Anyone else? Any other channels suffer the same fate?

dammit, I hate when they do that... There's no reason for it and all it does is **** people off. 35 has been the food network for the last 10+ years and everyone has gotten used to it, so what do they do? They friggin CHANGE it!

In other news, if you're moving Comcast has a special deal where they will discount you TV and internet for $49 for 6 months with no strings attached (no contract or anything). According to my friend you can get the deal without moving... He called and complained about how he felt as thought was unfair that his frined (who was moving) got the discount and he didnt... Sure enough, he got the same discount. Do yourself a favor and call them about the discount and Im pretty sure that they will give it to you. (mention how you've been a loyal customer for x amount of years, etc). Its a big savings, and it saves you almost $50 a month!!! Dont say that Ive never given you anything.

EDIT: Jokes' on me, the food network is now on channel 34 (a channel that I had deleted VIA TV), so it's just one channel down... *whew*. Food network ROCKS and is like a damn food classroom. Ive learned so much from that channel and Alton Brown is my hero! *swoooon*

My dentist has the tv set to the food network with the volume really low. So I try to figure out what they're cooking while he scraps my teeth with a metal spike asking if I floss.

You're my dentist..... you know I don't floss you bastard!

Comcast moved Fox Sports CA to 41, and moved whatever was on there (TBS?) down to 35, moving the food channel to 51 or something, which displaced QVC and now QVC is on a different channel depending on your region.

And my internet is slower! All for $130 a month!

Edit: It got moved to 34?

Ya, it's on 34. I was watching some shows on TiVo from last week and there was a red bar on the bottom of the screen during commercials notifying of the switch starting on March 24th. I'm still getting used to hitting 34 by instinct. I still hit 35 by accident. LOL. I still need to check out the morning lineup of cooking shows on PBS. Mario Batali's got a show there, I think, so does Todd English (that guy's awesome).

For all basic, advanced, HD, premium HD and movie channels plus cable internet I'm paying $110/month. Recently my internet has been crazy fast, like almost 30mbps. I'm paying for 6mbps
