Thinking about the new C.350
I really like the new c class. Anyone else?
I have been looking to get a family car I can leave alone.. lol Ok I'd but some small carbon trim pieces on the outside. But I love the white paint and even the black paint.
My fear is they are owned by Cry-sler so they are crap. I've heard that they have had problems with other models and older pre 07-06 models.
Anyone hear of any good? These are as cheap as a new STi. I have been seeing these start in the high 28k and have found the c350 for 33k I would want at least the c350
The C-Class is offered as three models: C300, C350 and C63 AMG. The C300 is available in rear-wheel and 4MATIC all-wheel drive configurations, both in either Sport or Luxury trim levels. It is equipped with a 228-hp 3.0-liter V6 engine, and gets either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission with TouchShift manual shift mode. The C350 is offered in rear-wheel drive and Sport trim only, and is powered by a 268-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine, paired with the seven-speed automatic transmission with TouchShift. The enthusiast-oriented C63 AMG boasts a 451-hp 6.3-liter AMG-tuned V8 engine, mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission with AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS manual shift mode and steering wheel-mounted aluminum paddles. Every C-Class model is outfitted with standard safety features that include stability and traction control systems, 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, active anti-whiplash front head restraints, front side-impact airbags and side-curtain airbags for front and rear occupants.
So what does everyone think about them? Going for a test drive this week.

They make the c.class in AWD but only in the the c300. The 350 and 63 come with a 6 speed or 7 speed auto. The auto can skip gears for faster take off..... I love the dash layout.

Very nice if you're going the luxo route. As has been stated before, Daimler-Chrylser is no more so that shouldn't sway your decision. I too wish they imported the manual tranny C-class merc, but it's a damn fine automobile regardless.

Mercedes sucks... Just terrible all around. My family is obsessed with them, I however hate them... Sloppy and not that well put together.
I'd get a bimmer instead.
BMW > Benz
Mercedes also have the WORST resale of any car ever! Wait till next year and buy it a year old and save 10k.
