I thought that was kinda weird too, but he did get the car BAR'd so how bad can the swap be?
Then again, I am not sure what exactly they look at when you bring in your car to get a swap BAR'd.

yes thats a horrible V8 to use for an FC swap, Iron block and about 80 lbs heavier than an GM LS, also much less power potential

For sure. Even a 302 would have more potential than the SOHC 4.6. But LSX power wins for sure. If I keep this Z, I would eventually like to lose the fancy 327 and get an LS2 or LS6.

I so wanted an RX7 in high school.
No joke, I have a friend who bought one and he dropped out of college because of working to keep his FD maintained and modding it.
Totally not worth it in the long run. That dude's going nowhere in life now pretty much he bought the stupid RX7
Cursed car

Engine (327 built buy Merchant Speed & Machine w/ Edelbrock EFI, etc):
It's wicked, just wicked but I don't have the time/place to do what I want with it (yet). A 2yr old dyno sheet shows ~370rwhp @ 5800.

Nice thing about 240Zs vs RX7s is 1: engine is set behind the front axle and 2: smog exempt.
