They Tried to Jack My Car (Part 2)
If you haven't read my previous post, do a search or look back in the BAIC forums...that thread isn't very old.
They came back again last night. They managed to cut some wires this time...I won't go into the details.
So for those of you in North San Jose, beware!
I'm going back to stock and am in the process of removing all my mods. This simply isn't worth it.

but going back to stock won't stop them from stealing from your car. they steal from your car because it's easy for them to do so.
I'd try a really nice alarm one that has battery back up, so if they cut your regular battery, the alarm goes off. It's usually enough to ward of thieves.
These guys don't seem like pros, just more like some punk kids who are picking on you.

didn't you say its right outside your window? invest in a paintball gun, keep a frozen pack of paint ***** ready, when you hear your alarm go off, get that **** and **** them up.
if this **** happened to me I would not let these ****ers get away. Setup shop at the window, sleep with it cracked and your car parked right in front. and **** those *****es up. god damn theives need to DIE! their lives are worthless and they should be dead.

you're gonna let some half assed crooks force you into tearing your car apart?
I know how you feel. I used to have a civic with some tastey bits on it that a couple people took a go at. I eventually got rid of it after a few theft attempts, a crap load of tickets (found out my car was marked), some very annoying issues.....etc. But not just cause of the theives.
If you are gonna let thieves determine what you own then you're not gonna own much. Have to realize that the nicer things you own the more attention you get from lazy pieces of **** that want to jack you.
I guess for some folks it's enough. But me...I'd get a nicer alarm..not sure what you have...either that or I'd try to figure out a way to monitor my car...baby monitor would work if it's by your house. Get one with sound and video. Put it on your rear seat or something.
really sorry to hear that you're having issues. It's bound to start happening to more and more of us as thieves learn more about getting into our cars and selling our parts. I'm even more sorry to hear that your tearing down.
Best of luck with all this. Sorry you had to deal with it.

thanks for the support guys. i needed the laugh.
i hear ya about not letting thieves dictate what i should or should not have on my car, but this car has gotten to be a liability in my life. i don't believe in liabilities, whether it's a car or a woman.

+1 to hire brucelee if they keep coming back the same days of the week.
Did you actually wake up and stop them or did you find out in the morning? If it was the morning they are definitely amateurs and probably won't come back as it would be a waste of time.
When I lived in San Mateo I saw some kids messing with my wifes window. I grabbed my K-bar and chased one down. He pretty much crapped himself when he saw the knife and begged me to let him go. I made him call his parents on his cell phone so they could pick him up.
