I'm wondering if the fact that it's a hummingbird matters. Those ****ers can change direction so fast, I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't actually a physics question.

No because the penny is already going 600 mph.

Flip the penny up in the cabin, accelerate to 600 mph, then where does the penny go?
