If your Forester is as good as gone. There's only one thing to do. Build a more bad *** car.

Yeah, I got a bunch of stuff off it before it was scrapped, brakes included (they're now on our '00 RS). The shop it got towed to in Petaluma was really awesome about letting me take parts off of it. AndyC and I met at the shop, jacked it up and started yanking **** off of it. Pulling the brakes was the biggest PITA and we didn't even bolt everything back together completely correctly (stuffed paper towels in the leaking brake lines, etc. ).

Whatta *****. Sic your insurance company on her! Your policy should have an uninsured motorist provision for situations like this.

Oh it does, with very high limits. I had a claim filed with my insurance before my car was even towed to the body shop. I don't mess around.

how do you throw down a relative high sum on a newer titan and not have insurance? Rediculous. Glad to hear you're okay. If you have another means of transport, buy it back and swap it all over to a bugeye wagon (engine, brakes, etc.) That'll leave you with a sweet car and some change leftover I'm guessing.

Make sure her finance company knows that she ran into you without insurance. Help make sure she's not out buying another car anytime soon.
