Thank you, inattentive Nissan Titan driver...
Got rear ended today on SB101 in Santa Rosa headed home from work. I suspect this will total my vehicle. The woman who hit me self-reported both to myself and CHP that she was distracted by her child and by the water bottle she was attempting to retrieve from her footwell area. She was apparently concerned it was going to get stuck behind the brake pedal.
Well, this is what happened:

Take a look if you care.
Adios, Forester - It's been real.

Yeah everyone was OK. The Escape I hit was 1500 miles old and driven by an elderly couple. Especially glad they weren't hurt, but I basically glanced off them as I was most stopped by the time I was pulling to the side to keep the barreling Titan from plowing me directly. So, who has a bugeye they want to sell?!

It's more haxored than it appears. The rear quarter is pushes into the door, catback is hammered, as are the radiator core support and fender support in the front. I certainly hope it's not totalled, but I am less than optimistic.

Take all the goodies off your Forester, buy mine (I'll put it back to stock) and put all your goodies on it so I can buy a bugeye and put all my goodies on it

That sucks, I'm sorry that happened! Always look at the good out of a bad situation, now you can either get a new forester or get a different car that you've been wanting maybe?

That is really lame. Sorry to hear. It is good to hear that you are ok. From what it sounds like, everyone is ok as well. And now insurance money for the car. Get something fun.
