Texas cops don't mess around; 72 year old grandma tasered (Video)

The release of damning video footage or not, I would have opened the door if Keri Bellacosa came knocking.
I believe the taser route was the safer one to take. As previously stated I think more harm would have come from the officer using more conventional means of detaining the woman. While the officer was justified in his actions he could have handled it better.

I didn't post that with regaurds to getting away with breaking the law because of her age, merely that the officer need remember that he is physically dealing with a geriatric woman and that he can't treat her like younger adults.
Don't let her get away with breaking the law, but don't break her in the name of the law.

Considering the agitated state of the grandma, was the letting go option even possible or very prudent at that point? It would not have looked good if he let an irate, angry, uncooperative, mouthing off speeder go just so he could have avoided a confrontation. Especially if anything happened shortly after, accident or another violation, for which he would have been held even more accountable. IMO he had to think of the bigger picture and choose the lesser evil; not pretty or easily agreeable by any means, but the best option he had. Just my $.02.
