The first step in diagnosing and repairing any problem to a Kodak/Scitex 5240 series continuous inkjet printer is to turn it off then on and than off again. It takes a 5240 25 min to turn off and 30 min to turn on. Those are the times when I will post on i-club.

Restarting any device should be the first attemp to fix any tech problem. The user should do this to solve 90% of their own problems.... Job security I guess.

Most aftermarket parts don't fit and are of very poor quality... not really a secret

Some "tuners" can't even set up their own e-mail let alone fully understand a modern engine management system.

My buddy worked at Gamestop while were at San Diego State. He was allowed to open brand new games, play them for as long as he wanted, and return them back. I guess they would reseal them and sell them as new? We played NBA 2K3 for like a month straight, Madden, and whatever Tony Hawk game was out at the time.

lol @ they're allowed. I used to be a assitant manager at a funcoland (now gamestop) back in 98 and some of my employees did that. Needless to say they got fired. The guy probably works at a very lax store where everyone is in on it.

if a construction worker doesnt look like they know what they are doing, they dont. if something with a construction project looks wrong it probably is but as long as we can get an inspector to pass it we dont care. if a construction project looks exactly how it should, it was probably done wrong, had shortcuts taken and was fudged till it was perfect. if a construction person make you feel positive about a job they are going to do for you, they are only a salesman and not the person who will be working on your house 99% of the time. only hire contractors who do the work themselves and cant blame their peons for short comings in the work. dont ever pick a fight with a guy who does sheet rock or is an iron worker for a living, you wont win...ever. the superintendent of a job site usually knows more about what will work in real life than the architect or engineer who designed a building. usually the guy who charges $20k for a job will do a better job than the guy who charges $30k for the same job. the construction workers who worked at solyndra knew 6+ months before hand that the company was bankrupt and would be going under.
