damn, I would have tried harder to get a 4.0 in high school if I was going to get a $33k car out of it. Thing is, BOTH of the kids had STis...

i didnt get a car till i was 18.

and i blame both the kids and parents. kids were idiots. parents were oblivious to the reality.

no 16yr old should own an STI. atleast not unless he has been driving fast cars with papa since he was young

Kids will be kids though, they do what they do. You can't expect them to be an adult, heck most 18-21 year olds I know aren't even "adults". Sad that it takes a tragedy like this to open peoples eyes to the fact that how responsible a child may seem, they are still children.

I think it's almost safer to give a kid a gun than a fast car.
I wonder what insurance would be like on an STi for a 16 year old.

nah man, im jus sayin.. this thread is gonna go on and on about how young people shouldn't drive sti's again.. that's all.

it's always like this, u've been on the forums long enough. and then people end up gettin in arguements about age discrimination. nothing i can prevent tho.. =T so i guess i won't say anymore.

instead of everyone insulting people (parents), lets feel for the family yo

First car i bought myself was a 1998 Camaro Z28 when i was 17. I then built it with the hellp of a few friends and connections to 426 hp. I drove that on the street for 3 years until it was stolen and i never got in one accident or street raced.. always on the track. A kid can kill themself in almost any car if not driving it the right way. But i agree on the fact the parents should have known better...

This is a case of kid trying to show-off with his new car and not knowing the limits of it. I would like to know if any mods were put on the car also. Basically, it doesnt come down to age or the car. It is overall driving experience. I think the biggest concern is a 16 year old came from home to get gas and back home, where did he get the alcohol?
Just another case of drinking and driving.

nothing to do with age? Not many 16 y/os have a ton of driving experience, especially not in Stis.
