What kind of exposures are you guys using?

I took 5 pics of my car in the garage just now with exposuers -2 -1 0 +1 +2

Tried the merge to hdr and says there isn't enough dynamic range. Does it help being outside in lighter conditions? Seems like that might be why it didn't work for me. I'll give it another try tomorrow.

Are trying that with exposure compensation? Try do it by either adjusting fstop while maintaining shutter speed, or vice versa, to get aq larger dynamic range.

just take the pictures with different shutter speeds for starters... like 200, 800, and 3200 on a tripod and then try it.

i use manual exposure for the type of picture i am going to take on the little selector (where the options are "auto pic," "lanscape," "night," etc.)

Those aren't shutter speeds - those are ISO values.....totally different, and not what you want to be changing for HDR imaging.

Its possible your P&S camera wont have enough manual control to do this in a night time setting....Does it support manual shutter speeds (e.g. a 1s, 3s, etc exposure)? If it doesn't, you might have trouble doing this with a P&S.
