haha do you really? I shouldn't be too shocked after seeing the painted rocks 
ahh I see.. I guess that's cool but still if you rinse it and it goes through the holes what about all the moisture its adding? In the heat yeah some will dry up but I would think it would get really hot and sweat then create mold on the bottom side of the fake grass.

This is what I have gathered from my research. Like I said, we will have a dog so the poo and pee thing is a concern.
There are different "grade" of synthetic grass. If a pet is part of the picture you will need synthetic grass that has special treatment to eliminate the urine odor and the base/drainage system as to be thought out. As for poo, you don't want to just hose it off because all you are doing is spreading the poo. You will still scoop it up and then wipe/clean the area.

so now they will invent a lawn vacuum which defeats the whole purpose of fake grass...except saving water. But the vacuum would use electricity!
I say its lower maintenace for non pet owners for sure tho.

Normal grass doesn't have some amazing antibacterial property. I don't see why poop on the fake lawn is any more of a concern than poop on a real lawn, providing that you spray it down good after you scoop it (since it doesn't get watered like regular grass). After it dries and bakes in the sun, it's going to be just as clean (if not cleaner) than regular grass would be.

yeah its all in our head i guess. But grass cleans itself like if you dye your hair, that hair will be new and uncolored in a month or two.
i bett there will be grass cleaning businesses that come by and clean your grass llol

It also gets really hot in the sun. We designed some football fields and we still have to water it to keep it cool and to rinse all the spit, blood, etc. If your dog is doing its business out there, I wouldn't want to play in that yard haha.

good point...its just like most "green products" of today, they are great in small quantities but once every single household has one, what will happen? You cant tell me they wont be replaced in 5 years by a softer better version.
