Sweet Sounds from Downtown San Jose

So I was washing my car this morning and I can hear the sweet sounds of the F1 cars. Maybe they are practicing. I can't wait to hear the drifters later on today. So sad I can only listen =\

They aren't F1 cars, it's the Champ Car series. Regardless, I'm sure they sound sweet but I'd imagine a real F1 car at 19000 RPM would be a sound one wouldn't forget.

Looking at the schedule, there is a special event called F1x2 which has accompanied the Champ Car series this year. The F1x2s are 2 seat F1 cars for taking people at race speed around the track. The first session was this morning at 9:40, so that is what the OP may have heard. The cars are 700+ hp Minardi F1 cars. Whereas Minardi were not exactly top of tyhe F1 field, they are still extremely fast cars.

I'm listening to KIOI on the internet, and they keep saying they're live from the races, but the noise in the background sounds fake...I dunno.

I'd love to be there to check that **** out!

Champ Cars don't sound great at all. The turbo F1 cars from the 80s sound different and much better imho.

Todays F1 cars are pure sex... amazing machines!

seriously... can you imagine being a passenger in a car doing 160+mph through the downtown - you'd never need to go to a theme park again
