@choku dori

I forget the exact rules, but if a vehicle is over 30 yrs old (plus some other criteria) its not hard to get titled in the US, and even in California. A friend of mine brought over a RHD diesel BJ-50 land cruiser from Australia and reg'd it in CA.

Exact rules are as follows:

CARB (California specific): 1975 and older is exempt from CA smog(used to be a rolling 30 year or older exemption, but not anymore)
EPA: 21 years or older is exempt from federal emissions standards
NHTSA/DOT: 25 years or older is exempt from Federal safety standards and other vehicle regulations(FMVSS)

Yeah when you see used car prices in Japan, you will drop panties right in front of them. S15 $11000 with less than 50k on it....

*Proceeds to drop panties*

I'll wet them for a lot of cars in Japan. Being able to see well modified cars over there. Even stock ones, for a steal price, just waiting to get molested

Yea it is pretty amazing. I also wet mine a few times when I saw stuff for sale at the little dealership outside of the Super Autobacs Tokyo Bay. Had an S204 for around $25k (This was back in 2008/9).
