Some, not all. >knock on wood< my 04 FXT has not had known issues and I'm at 140K. On the dyno the baseline was very healthy for that mileage too. The earlier 2.5s were known for head gasket problems, including the N/A models.

The fa motors are having problems actually. But it's mainly cause Subaru is trying to build motors that can go 10k miles without an oil change. So motors do go out as we have a forester we have to put a new shortblock in coming this week. And yes it's a new forester.

You must be talking about the N/A FB engines not the FA20DIT's.

Sorry, does not apply to the FA20DIT in the 15 WRX, its not the same engine, even the Forester XT is different enough that it's not an apples to apples comparison. Also recommended oil change interval is 6500 miles with full synthetic.

Keyword is TRYING to. I didn't say they are saying 10k now. Also the guy said just FA not the FA20DIT
