Streetable Dream Config
What if you could have everything you wanted for your WRX, what would it be? Here's my list, feel free to post your own.
1. Vishnu Products:
a. Stage 2 $4245
b. Silicon Hose Kit $139
c. Signature Series Turbo Back $350
d. NGK Spark Plugs $15
2. TXS FMI $1499
3. Volk GT-7 17x8 (still not sure on color) $1750
4. Falken ZE-512 235/45/17 All-Season Ultra High Performance (because I do a lot of driving in various places) $500
5. Prodrive Suspension with Active Shock Technology (supposedly coming in under $3,000)
http://www.prodrive-usa.com/product_...d=10&pid=76&s=
I am still trying to figure out what sway bars and brakes to add to this dream config, any ideas? Also, do you see any sort of conflicts with these parts, or anything that I might be missing (i.e. CAI). Oh yeah and there would probably be an A/V System as well somewhere in the $7000 range.
Approximate Grand total: $22,500
Looks like I could buy a whole new WRX ;-)

I dont know, maybe thats typical nowadays, but I dont even have $7K worth of AV in my house, and thats including my 2 computers and laptop! This car is the first time I went for a major sound system upgrade and it cost me $900, and I thought that was alot!

First off, ive got an RS, 2000, so here goes...
EJ205 conversion
EJ257 short block
Crawford Performance pistons and rods
I-Speed valvetrain package
Greddy T-67 turbo kit
Dual Greddy Type S BOVs
Hyperflow front mount(TurboXS)
Helix up/downpipes
Greddy DD catback(which I already have... )
I-Speed EcuTek
STi 6spd, rear diff, axles, tha whole deal
STi Brembos
Tein Flex w/ EDFC
As man Cusco suspension parts as possible minus the coilvers
Greddy lip(already on the way)
SYMS side skirts
Chargespeed rear bumper or C-West rear spats(cant decide)
Volk LE 37s in bronze with big *** pollished lip
VIS CF hood
VIS CF trunk lid
Recaro seats out of an Evo 8...I really like them
Im sure im forgetting something...and i appologize, im doing a lot of dreaming lately.....honestly all I want right now is the WRX conversion....I would be plenty happy with stage IV mods with the 2.5L.

what's realistic?
Well this summer I'm going cobb stage 2.5 and some basic suspension....
next summer I'll probably tack on the GReddy FMIC...
year after that I'm taking a class on designing engines and hopefully I can put in an Sti shortblock while I'm at it and a 20g, and hopefully there will be accesstuning by then.
That's about it though. I really can't justify spending more money on at least straightline performance since for that there are much better platforms to start out with (namely EVO...an actual STi, a friggin' skyline (i mean R32 skylines can be had for the price of the former 2 right?))
