Angry Stonestown thieves

So after work tonight my wife and i decide to go down to borders at the Stonestown Mall (south SF). We go in, buy some things, watch the crazy hail storm then leave.

We start driving away only the hear a knocking sound coming from the front right wheel. I pull over look at everything and visually it seems fine and i think ok i just didn't see a pot hole. Then we turn the corner onto Sunset and the knock is crazy and the wheel shakes. i'm thinking **** my wheel is coming off, so we pull over and sure enough all the lug nuts on the passenger side of the car are loose, and one of the front ones is gone altogether, right then i'm really mad, WTF someone in the mall carpark has tried to steal my F#$%ing wheels, then as they didn't finish the job, luckily it didn't come all the way off causing an accident, or they actually take my enkei's. It was in a mall carpark under a light pole and it was only 7pm, stealing F$@%s get a job and stay the fk away from my car!!

Any way just wanted to share.

Yeah...cause its the smartest thing to do.... lay valubles out in the open...why not just leave her purse in there too? That was/is an accident waiting to happen...

Oh..and sorry to hear about your lugs and the almost stolen wheels. At least they didn't get em and you didn't get in a wreck.

Sorry to hear about that. Living in Sunset, I have had firsthand accounts of the little delinquents around there and it doesn't surprise me that these type of things happen.

Last year, when I used to live off of 30th/Moraga, UPS came by to deliver a package. These two little punks (probably ~14 years old) were trying to con the UPS guy by saying that they lived at my house and to give them the package, before I could get downstairs. Of course, the UPS delivery person didn't believe them (and asked for IDs). I came out, and as I was signing for the package, I saw the two delinquents try to get into the back of the UPS truck (presumably to steal packages). The UPS guy yelled at them, and they walked off thinking they were badasses.

I sure as hell am disciplining my kids before they can reach that stage...

Who knows... Looking at the kids around there, I think a lot could be suspects (yes, I am judgmental).

I now live on the opposite side of 19th, in a much quieter area.

Very true, I did assume things, but it sounded too easy. But then again, when you roll in a Lex, Mercedes, BMW ect people assume you have $$ and I guess they assumed right in that case and got an Ipod and a cell phone.
