Help: Need stock boost restrictor

Hi,

Does anyone have a spare or no use stock boost restrictor. This is the one that many people swap out for the 3/16 restrictor instead. I remove my EBC, and are using the stock boost controller again, so I will need that restrictor back to connect to the T that's going to the wastegate and the turbo compressor.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

just wanted to make sure you know that the in line coupling that alot of people like to replace with a 3/16" coupling is not the actual restricor that regulates vacuum to the wastegate actuator, that is actually a TINY brass insert thats actually tucked inside the vacuum hose right in front of the turbo(see pic)

If you just replace the stock in-line coupling without replacing the brass restrictor you not get full stock boost.

I like many, just replaced the plastic vacuum connectors with bigger less restrictive ones...

Where do you buy the bigger sized brass connector that attached to the turbo?

What size do u use, and do you get the same amount of stock boost for all gears, or does it bump up the boost several psi?

Thanks, and GREAT diagram..

Well its not actually a brass conector that you can see by looking at the hose, its a small restrictor(about the size of a tic-tac, thats tucked inside the hose, from the outside it just looks like a lump in the hose right before the turbo, you wouldnt want to use a bigger one with less restriction since that would make you lose boost(more restriction=more boost) this is why it doesnt make sense to me why people that replace the T and plastic coupling say it gives more boost, anything that gets more air through that hose and to the wastegate faster should REDUCE boost

Anyhow, I wouldnt worry about finding a different sized brass restrictor, if your going that far just take out the whole mess and get a $25 manual boost controller.

btw, Mike at Gruppe-S should have some stock pills, otherwise try calling Subaru of Santa Cruz, or looking for the part number in one of the PDFs floating around the net.

+1 for yanking the tubes and getting a 3 port prodrive solenoid.
