STi Order at MSRP

Has anyone in the Bay Area area placed a deposit down at msrp? If so, please let me know at which dealer.

I had a gentleman come in today and place his deposit on a 2004 WRX STi.

Price: MSRP, no dealer mark-up .

I read the post where "Broken Arrow" first mentioned it and thought I'd zip up there. Well, I didn't care about being first, I just wanted to get on the list for MSRP. Imagine my surprise upon finding out that no one else had visited him.

I'll be working on Friday : 0830 hrs to 1700 hrs. (830 am - 5 pm), I'll be gone for this weekend.

Yeah, I went to Marin Mazda/Subaru and found that the sales guy and manager there were really jerks. Albany had offered a a good price over invoice for a WRX and Marin simply wouldn't deal. I was friendly and thanked them. While I was walking out, the sales guy sneered and flippantly callled out "buh-bye" - I could imagine him saying under his breath "don't let the door hit you on the way out." Needless to say, I bought elsewhere.

Everyone has a different experience though...

Well, Three determined and anxious Suby lovers stepped up to the plate and placed their deposits on the 04 WRX STi already.

1. Zoke - Nice to meet you in person. I can't wait till you see your new Rex!

2. STC - Your number 2, but your ride will be in.

Hi Ray,

I just saw a little blurb on Car and Driver TV. They state that a Legacy STi is in the works and showed disguised pics of the car. They stated that it will come with 350HP and cost around $45K. Oh yeah, and it was a wagon! Looked good.

They said the new Legacy will come with the three engine choices of two four cylinders and the six. I'm assuming that the STi might be the 2.5 tuned up to 350? Or would they turbo-charge the six?

Hmmn, interesting times ahead...

I know this year that the Forester Turbo will be out.
The B4 Legacy sedan will also becoming.

A party sounds great! I will wait about a year for my STi. I still need to pay off my 02 Rex. I told my wife that my current Rex is the last car I'm financing.

As far as the Legacy B4, I was told that it will be a Turbo 4. They didn't tell me if it's a 2.0 or 2.5. A turbo H6 would be a screamer!!

Let's see!
