Stage 4 plus State ref or smog??

Has anybody here been slammed with a state ref ticket with a stage 4 setup? Or possibly been forced to do smog?

I'm on the verge of going to a stage 4 setup but the thought of having to uninstall all those mods and reflash the ECU just seems like a painstaking process both from a time and $$$ standpoint.......enough to even turn me away. My guess is that it would cost you $700-$900 just to pay someone to uninstall and reinstall all that stuff.....at least the turbo, injectors, pump and up-pipe which are the most difficult.

Has anyone here ran into this problem? If not, I'm curious what you Stage IV people plan to do during smog time....
