Screw cutting out my fast food. I need it to survive. To combat that, I started work out twice a day, again. Many times I push so hard at my cardio that I almost throw up. Feels great.

There's fast food and then there's fast food. You can just about as easily get a togo's or subway sammich (which is cheap and hella quick) and are about 100293932 times better for you than a fried burger.
But do what works for you I reckon. I'm down 5 pounds now, and today's another easy day of running swimming pushups pullups and situps (with a little time in the steam room after as a treat. mmmm, steam room).

It's all about how much 'fuel' you put in versus how much you burn. Don't eat when you're not hungry. Don't snack in the evenings. Eat good food. Walk more. Find ways to work excersize into your daily life so that it becomes a part of your life instead of an obligation. Drink more water. Be realistic about portions (this has been the hardest for me - you just get huge portions here in the US). My g/f and I usually share an entree and it's almost always been enough food (leave feeling "not hungry" but not like you're gonna splode). You can always order more food if you are still hungry, but it's hard to go back over the line after you over-snack yourself. I stopped worrying about it and ate like a monster over the holidays, so I have a little to lose myself. But I will be damned if I am gonna stop drinking beer - I might as well stop breathing air.

yea, portions are so huge everywhere you go, it's very difficult to not overeat when you go out. Especially when I've had it beaten into my head since I was a little kid "eat all your food". I've started just ordering an appetizer at places and it's still plenty for me to eat. I still have a bad tendency to overeat when given a large portion, but I'll kick the habit in time.

I spent a good amount of time in Spain and Israel last year. Being in those places made it clear to me how to integrate being healthy into every-day life. The portions when I got there freaked me out because you would get a dinner, and be like... "is this gonna fill me up??" After a few times leaving places with this weird "not hungry but not stuffed" feeling, I really started paying attention to what I eat. I wasn't overweight, but I was getting pudgy and getting irritated with the gym and what happened if I missed a week. I lived in the UK for 2 years. When I moved there, I was 6'1" 11.5st. When I moved back I was 14.5st. I blame the pub crawl.
And when all else fails - figure out how much food you "should" eat as far as your lifestyle and how many calories you burn/day. If you eat slower you will feel full faster. Also, you can trick your body by pounding a pint of water, and then eating. Haha...
Anywho - good luck with your work! I think just about everyone could lose a little holiday weight, and we all could certainly be more healthy.

I do a lot of mountain biking and I use a downhill bike daily so the weight on the bike and labor it takes to pedal makes it intensive and gets me in shape better than using a light bike. Wanna join in one day? see if you like the routine. We can always use another rider. It will make you sweat and loose alot of weight.
great will power keep it going man. I will take the pounds away from the rally car, dont you worry.
