True. You are right. Though, in the event that you happen to lose your reader... what happens then... or let's say you wanted to run multiple readers simultaneously from one account... just a thought. I can tell you that Square will send you additional "free" readers if you send them a request via email (says in the FAQ).

I have Square. Once you get past the SSN and bank information, you can sell pretty much whatever you want.

I haven't done any transaction other than swipe $5 and get $4.xx to test it out, but it really is free to get *least when I got it it was and that was about 6 months ago*.

Still is. The reader is free. They only charge to a percentage on transaction. It's pretty relative. If you pay someone using PayPal with a credit card, it is 2.9% + 15 cents.

yes! please support square guys! square is a small company based in sf. they are constantly growing, and just recently had visa invest in them. they will give you all the free readers you want, and everything is super easy to use!

if anyone has any issues they need resolved with square, please feel free to contact me, my brother in law is one of the founders of the company.

I don't know. What do they need your SS for and how do you route it? Like checking would be in auto debit situations?
