sputtering issue above 6k?
I recently got my car tuned with no issues. Two days ago when I was getting on it after 6k rpms it cut power. It feels like it pulls hard until then. What could be causing this? I don't think my clutch is slipping because it doesn't not continue to rev it just feels like I'm getting cut 100 horsepower. My car has 22k and the motor was replaced under warranty when a bad tune caused my head to go lean but I've had no issues since replacement. Any insight?

It was pro tuned and ok I'll hit them up and see what's going on. I also noticed that there was a puff of smoke coming out of my exhaust on startup and more then average oil consumption. Could a messed up turbo be the culprit?

Although it's probably not likely, but a simple thing that almost everyone overlooks and can totally cause that kind of problem is by having a bad connection to your battery! My car's negative terminal was just loose enough to where it wouldn't stay 100% connected and would make the car nose dive with the amount of power that was lost instantly due to the bad ground.
The plastic piece that you need on your terminal connectors (when you tighten them down, the plastic piece that allows you to tighten it all the way, when the plastic piece is overtightened or lost the terminal connector doesn't tighten fully, which could just be like 2%, but that's enough!) has to be present so you can tighten both the negative and positive terminals until they are TIGHT and your battery is secure.
I never knew that a bad ground could rob a car of so much power so instantly! Needless to say, it took 3 mins to fix.
