some 16 y/o n00b.....damn kids shouldn't be allowed to have any kind of performance car as a first vehicle....that should be a law...I swear...n00b drivers should only be allowed to drive 1982 honda accords....with a whopping 60 whp, and a top speed of like 45! 0-45 in 5 minutes.....spoiled brats.... what a waste of a perfectly good WRX.....

That Sucks (even though he a 16 year old ). Yeah stuff like this is one of the reasons why we get so much heat from the cops. I just hope his mommy and daddy take way his new toy and get him a 1974 Ford Pento.

you're a 16 y/o n00b as well?

I bet you worked REALLY hard for that car.

Listen CHERRY..... i had a 84 nissan PU at your age... and yes i think you're a spoiled bratt so i am going to 'FLAME AWAY'. I bought a WRX because i had my "crappy" cars in the past (mostly chryslers) and decided it was my time to treat myself.

Maybe you should slow down a bit and get a different car because you're f*cking it up for the rest of us. Have your noticed the amount of crap people post regarding the CHP and insurance costs? it's because we get a "bad-rap" from ignorant breast-fed drivers like you.

Lets see... I never got into trouble with the law until I was 18... and this was for loitering in a public park after dusk the weekend after some riots in NYC and the cops were actually enforcing the "park closes at dusk" city laws. I've gotten a few speeding tickets. I had very little supervision over my life from my parents from about 13 or 14 on (for various personal family reasons) and yet I didn't get into any great trouble, esp. not with the law.

Maybe part of the reason I stayed out of trouble was that I didn't have 13/14 second car at age 16.

At least you revealed yourself as a lurking noob, so cheers.

<<YAWN>>

When I was 16, I bought my Father's '68 BMW 1600, a nice handling, but slow sedan.

I learned how to drive with this car, and continued to learn and excel at driving it, esp. on curvy roads.

Bit by bit I started to mod it out myself, eventually installing an entire upgraded suspension, 2.0L motor from a BMW 2002, better tires, better rims, etc.

I hit the picking yards for many parts because I didn't have much money.

I'm 25 now, and I finally stopped driving that car in Sept. '01.

I went a year sharing a goddamn AstroVan with my GF, before I got my WRX.

Do I have any sympathy for you 16yr. old noobs with cars far beyond your potentials as drivers?

NONE WHATSOEVER.

What your Parents did for you, in buying you cars of this caliber, you look at as a gift, when it is really a huge mistake, and it puts many more people than you drivers at risk.

So, suck it.

I love to see all the jealous haters come out when a kid has generous parents.

I suppose some are jealous but you have to understand where people are coming from eric

I was raised by a wealthy single mother that worked damn hard and eventually became Vice president of a mortgage company. She always said, "you can have whatever you want honey" but i never took her up on the offer. she even offered to pay for me to goto a an Ivy League college but instead i joined the army to get shot at.

I had the opprotunity and people like mmboost probably never had the chance at all to have parents to get him a car like that. Overall, it's just wrong... I strongly believe you'll become a better person if you work a little and aren't spoiled. I just wish everyone was required to goto a summer camp/driving school during their junior year of highschool to learn to drive better.

Do you know what I drove when I was 16? An '86 Volvo Staion Wagon. Not that my parents couldn't afford a better car for me, but that I didnt need it since I didnt know how to drive. Finally now that I am 20, I got myself a nice performance car, a MY00 RS. You do not deserve your car since you did not pay for it. I bet you dont even pay for you gas/insurance etc.
